Questions about Hello Good Design

Q: WHat is hello good design?

A: We are an e-interior design company. We take the guess work and hassle out of deciding what makes your space well designed. We equip you with professional design guidance so you can get to living in a space you love. 

Q: How do online design services work?

A: From the comfort of your own computer or tablet, you select a design service, answer a short questionnaire, share your existing space details through measurements and images, and your inspiration for your new space. Hello Good Design takes these details and creates a design package from one of our menu of options to suit your needs. You have communication with your designer through the entire process via email. At the end you will have a document outlining a professionally designed solution for your space.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: Our website and social media is accessible 24/7 and provides access  to information about Hello Good Design, inspiration, and a design blog. 

Hello Good Design responds to general inquiries and design questions in 24-48 business hours CST, Monday - Friday. 

Q: When do i need a design consult?

A: Any set of design related questions that you ask and we can answer in an hour, this is a great option for people who have questions or need confirmation about design choices in an individual room, a whole house, empty wall, and picking paint colors. People often find this especially helpful if they are deciding to redo an area and have or want confirmation and suggestions for furniture, paint, flooring, or hardware selections. 

Q: When do i need E-Design?

A: This is for anyone who needs a designer for an entire room to provide space planning, furniture, artwork, drapery, and finish selections. 

Q: How long does a design consult typically take start to finish?

A: Once completing the questionnaire you will receive a response in the next 24-48 business hours. From there we will send you a link to schedule your 30 minute or 1-hour video call and an invoice. After the video call is scheduled and payment is received, you will add us as a contact to your Skype or Google Hangouts and we will call you at your scheduled time. Within 24-48 business hours after the video call, you will receive your one page design consult synopsis.

Please note, timelines are subject to change depending on workload and discretion of Hello Good Design, any changes will be communicated in advance and promptly. 

Q: How long does an e-design typically take start to finish?

A: Once completing your initial questionnaire, a designer will be in touch within a few days to introduce themselves and to get your project details. After all project details and payment have been received, you will receive initial concepts, depending on the chosen e-styling or e-design service, within 7-9 business days. You will then have an opportunity to review the initial concept and provide feedback to help the designer refine their design. You have two weeks to review the concept, but if you need some more time please let us know. Once final feedback has been received, your final design package will be delivered via email in 7-9 business days.

Q: What happens if I have an open floor plan and i want to do an e-design?

A: Rooms are defined as separate living spaces. If you have an open floor plan, or two or more separate living areas within one large space, like a living room and dining room, then you would require two e-design packages. One for the living room and one for the dining room. If you have further questions, please reach out to us via the contact us page. 

Q: What forms of payment does Hello Good Design take?

A: We take all major credit cards through a PayPal portal. If you have a PayPal account, you can sign in, but it is not necessary to have a PayPal account to purchase a design service.

Q: What is your refund or cancellation policy?

A: If you are not satisfied with your paid service experience with Hello Good Design, please let us know at         hello.good.design@gmail.com and we will work with you to remedy your experience. 

Please note, at HGD’s discretion, we may offer a refund in those situations where a remedy is not possible or does not correct the issue. In the event a refund is administered the refund is limited to the amount paid for the design service.

 

Other Design Questions

Q: How do i take measurements of my space?

A: Use a tape measure to collect the length and width of your room. Make sure you include ceiling height, window and doorway length, width, and heights,  as well as the length, width, and heights of any furniture items that you wish to reuse. Please measure in feet or inches. Check out our image below: 

 

Q: What's the best way to take photos of my space?

A: Photos are the best way for us to get an understanding of your existing space. Doing the best you can, we understand that some spaces are confining, we prefer photos that are well lit and capture the floor, walls, and ceiling in the image. Remember, the more photos you can share the better!
