Hanging Height of Pendants and Chandeliers Above Tables or Counter Tops

An impactful design tip that can really affect the look of a space is the mounting height of a light fixture. It's easy to tell when a chandelier or pendant isnt quite where it should be, it just feels funny in the space. But too high or too low, when is it just right? Typically, we recommend mounting chandelier or pendants 30"-40" above your table or countertop for the goldilocks hanging spot.

These are all, of course, design tendencies. Tendencies can be strategically broken, but for most people these general guidelines are relevant and helpful. Happy designing!
