If that 9-5 has gotcha down or life has got in the dumps at the moment, you may just need a little escape. A time to recharge those batteries, mental reprieve, or an adventure? Before we get too far into that psychology of happiness, does that photo not make you want to just grab a bag, leave the 9-5 and do some travel?!?!
Well some of you maybe able to do that, but you can bring that adventure home and we have just the solution. an artist collaboration to bring you the elements you need to make the perfect office retreat and chill that wanderlust heart for maybe a moment or two.
In this collab, We have partnered with Cindy george – go ahead and check her out here – for our inspired artwork in this week’s Instant Room. She typically, creates stunning paintings and drawings, but what make's this room's artwork so unique is that this artwork comes from 1930's and 1940's PHOTOGRAPH negatives.
Cindy discovered these negatives at an estate sale and made them digitally available. Result?! we have access to these captivating images capturing the western and southwest parts of the u.s. in all their vintage glory.
Channeling the feelings of the beautiful landscape of the west and southwest during the mid 1900s, brings us to our version to escape the daily grind. Mixing all the right elements from old prints, rich rug textures, with the new industrial and mid-mod styles gives this room those traveler's hideaway vibes. Oh and don't forget those classic home office essentials like a flip clock or a planner! We think that anyone could use this space to plan their next getaway, or just come and daydream for a little while.
