Ahhhhhh! The BANE of our existence . . . the boob light.

Why do we dread these anatomical light fixtures?

Well, let’s back up and understand what we are looking at, in other words, what’s their lighting purpose? The boob light, aka nipple light, are flush mount light fixtures. These fixtures are used in spaces where they need to provide:

  • Ambient (general) lighting for a room or hallway

  • They are typically inexpensive, can be bought in bulk.

  • Aren’t difficult to install for people electrical experience

Basically, they check the basic boxes. Is that a problem?

I mean, what’s really our beef with these fixtures?

Aesthetically, these fixtures are extremely visually unappealing, leave weird shadows, and really don’t add much interest to a space. AND, because there are many other options out there. Wait, what!?! That’s right, if you need a flush mount or semi-flush mount fixture there are actually inexpensive options that don’t break the bank, provided ambient light, and add to the visual appeal of the space.

here are the top 5 Styles that we suggest checking out next time you are thinking about buying a boob light.

Don’t worry we got your budget-friendly back, these are all in the in the $40-$75 range. :-)
